Faraday's Emerald

Professional poker player Charlie Gibbs wins an estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, in a phony charity raffle. The house has a history, a connection to the Romanov family and their famous emerald collection.
Charlie, his girlfriend, his brother, and two friends leave NYC for the charm of Kennebunkport. When they arrive at the mansion, they learn they must find a missing emerald within 72 hours to claim the estate. The clock is ticking.
That night, a storm rolls in: bone-cracking thunder, coyotes howling, cats screeching, and the lights go out. They stumble over a dead body, a young woman; they call the sheriff, but when he arrives, the body’s gone. Apparently the house is haunted.
Enter Hope, the sweet daughter of the estate’s deceased owner. And the only one who knows where the emerald is.
In a twist, Charlie and company are confronted by Yuri, a deranged Russian who believes he’s the rightful descendant of the Romanovs and wants his emeralds.
A raucous brawl ensues, and a gun goes off; a bullet rips a child’s antique toy apart, releasing a cache of priceless emeralds.
All’s well that ends well: Charlie and his friends put an end to the charity scam, Hope keeps her estate, and Yuri’s back in prison. That’s all the reward they could ask for until...
Six months later: Charlie and his friends join Hope on a sailing adventure aboard her seventy-foot ketch, the Emerald.
